Being the heart and hands of Jesus prompts us to serve the community around us. We involve ourselves in programs ranging from the local park and the food bank to educational opportunities in El Salvador. We sponsor activities that promote economic development, disaster relief, assistance to the poor, and spiritual growth for the love of Christ that knows no boundaries!
KidREACH (Relating, Educating and Communicating Hope) is a World Vision sponsored ministry that offers one-to-one tutoring and mentoring for local area school children needing extra help with their school studies. This program not only provides students with educational support but also emotional and spiritual support so important to the success inside and outside of school. Our coordinator works with local elementary schools to identify students who need tutors and matches them with volunteers.
Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)
Bellevue Christian Reformed Church (BCRC) is delighted that healing of all kinds can take place within the walls of our building. Thus, we are happy to provide a place for many AA meetings which are held in the Creekside Hall. Meeting times are posted as a service to the AA community. AA Meetings at BCRC: Nameless Bunch of Drunks (NBD): This early morning gathering meets daily (Sunday-–Saturday) from 7:00 - 8:00 AM. Serenity Break: This midday break is Monday through Friday from 12:00-1:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00-10:00 AM. On Wednesday, men and women meet separately. Reflections: A meeting for women on Monday evenings from 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Step On Through: This group meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall upstairs. Speakers Meeting East: People from various AA groups meet on Saturday evenings from 8:30 - 10:00 PM. Speakers share their experience, strength and hope. This popular meeting is well attended.
Please see an elder or give your request and information to the church office. With the help of Pastor Matt Borst they can refer you to local counseling agencies and resources.
